Smartphone gaming has become a popular trend among the youth in Dhaka, Bangladesh. From casual commuters to serious gamers, everyone seems to have a favorite game on their mobile devices. As a way to understand the gaming culture in this city, we decided to speak with some of the local gamers and find out about their favorite smartphone games.

Our first interview was with Arif, a 21-year-old student who is an avid mobile gamer. When asked about his favorite game, he immediately exclaimed, “PUBG Mobile!”. He went on to explain why he loves this battle royale game, “I love the adrenaline rush of being the last man standing and the strategy involved in the gameplay.” On the other hand, Nisha, a 25-year-old office worker, had a different preference. She revealed that her favorite smartphone game is Candy Crush Saga. Nisha shared, “I love how I can play it anytime, anywhere and it helps me de-stress after a long day at work.”

Next, we spoke with Asif, a 19-year-old college student, who is obsessed with the popular game, Clash of Clans. He said, “I love the social aspect of this game. I have made so many friends from all over the world through this game and we strategize together to win battles.”
